Zero carbon
standard

Overview

The “Zero Carbon China” evaluation standard system is a “1+N” group standard system constructed by the Energy Investment Committee of China Investment Association, which is based on the general standards of “Zero Carbon China” evaluation standard and the specific evaluation standards of different types of zero carbon scenarios.

General Principles of Assessment Criteria for “Zero Carbon China”

The “General Principles of Assessment Criteria for ‘Zero Carbon China’”is a basic common standard in the “Zero Carbon China” evaluation standard system, aiming to promote the coordination of the content and the consistency of the form of the specific evaluation standards, and ensure that the creation and evaluation of various types of zero carbon projects are organized and promoted systematically.

Evaluation standard of zero-carbon park

The “Evaluation standard of zero-carbon park” define the evaluation scope, basic requirements, bonus indicators, evaluation methods, and evaluation process for zero-carbon parks. A zero-carbon park employs multiple measures such as energy conservation, emissions reduction, carbon sequestration, carbon sink, and carbon trading to achieve a balance between emissions and self-absorption within the evaluation period. The park is characterized by efficient utilization of energy resources, rational industrial layout, and intelligent and efficient operational management.

Evaluation standard of zero-carbon factory

The “Evaluation standard of zero – carbon factory” define the evaluation scope, basic requirements, bonus indicators, evaluation methods, and evaluation process for zero-carbon factories. A zero-carbon factory employs a combination of energy conservation, emissions reduction, carbon sequestration, carbon sink, and carbon trading measures to achieve a balance between carbon emissions and self-absorption within the evaluation period. The factory also demonstrates efficient utilization of energy resources, a rational layout of production sites, and intelligent and efficient operational management.

Evaluation standard of zero-carbon data center

The “Evaluation standard of zero-carbon data center” specify the fundamental requirements, evaluation indicators, and evaluation level classifications for zero-carbon data centers. A data center is a building or complex where electronic information equipment is centrally housed to provide a running environment. It can be a campus, one or several buildings, or a part of a building that includes areas such as the main equipment room, auxiliary areas, support areas, and administrative management areas.

Standard for ESG evaluation of energy enterprises

The “Evaluation standard of zero-carbon data center” specify the fundamental requirements, evaluation indicators, and evaluation level classifications for zero-carbon data centers. A data center is a building or complex where electronic information equipment is centrally housed to provide a running environment. It can be a campus, one or several buildings, or a part of a building that includes areas such as the main equipment room, auxiliary areas, support areas, and administrative management areas.

Standard for ESG information disclosure of energy enterprises

The “Standard for ESG information disclosure of energy enterprises” serve as an integral part of the “Zero-Carbon China” standard system and act as a complementary standard to T/AIAC 005-2023 “Standard for ESG evaluation of energy enterprises” Following the principles of “benchmarking international standards, adapting to local conditions, ensuring a complete system, and applying with relevance,” these standards aim to assist energy enterprises in conducting high-quality ESG information disclosure. By doing so, they contribute to enhancing ESG information disclosure and management practices within the Chinese energy industry. Ultimately, this comprehensive approach seeks to elevate the overall economic, environmental, and social value, enabling better participation in international energy cooperation and achieving sustainable development goals

Evaluation standard of zero carbon village

The Evaluation standard of zero carbon village stipulates the evaluation boundary, basic requirements, evaluation index, evaluation method and evaluation process of zero-carbon countryside. This document applies to the evaluation of zero-carbon villages.
